Position Overview
The Automation Technician will design, construct and repair a wide variety of tools, dies, fixtures and automation components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities/Key Responsibilities/Key Duties
  • Machine custom component parts for automated machinery or fixtures from drawings or sketches using lathes, mills, grinders and other machine tools.
  • Design and perform basic maintenance of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of automated machine components.
  • Inspect work to ensure customer requirements.
  • Train and assist others in the department to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Maintain good communication with Department Lead
 
Successful Candidate would possess some of the following skill sets
  • Associates Degree or the completion of a two-year machining program plus five years of directly related experience. Will consider a combination of training and experience in lieu of degree.
  • Work at a fast pace and able to adjust schedule to meet customer demands.
  • Knowledge of machine electrical controls and schematics.
  • Efficient with PLC wiring and basic programming.
  • Good computer skills.
