Position Overview

The Lean Manufacturing Engineer will provide leadership in the development and implementation of Lean Manufacturing concepts and culture within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities/Key Responsibilities/Key Duties
  • Organize, conduct, measure and lead Lean events.
  • Organize, conduct, measure and lead shop wide 5S program.
  • Manage Yokoten improvements across the plant
  • Promote Jidoka culture
  • Define and implement Standard Work
  • Define and conduct cost benefit justification for Continuous Improvement projects
  • Calculate and evaluate statistical data for quality, lean and process improvement. 
  • Define and document process parameters.
  • Create detailed work instructions or training documents as needed.
  • Coach and advise production personnel.  Conduct Training events.
  • Develop solutions for production problems.
  • Analyze current production cost and collect cost savings results.
Desired and/or Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and minimum 3 years of experience leading Lean Manufacturing Kaizen and other continuous improvement activity.
  • Requires effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to research and analyze various different type of data information.
  • Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Participate in all required company training.
